About

The Pidta style amulet with a monk sitting in full or half-lotus position and with his hands covering his eyes and face is a style that has become very popular among Thai Buddhists, but other Buddhists across the world as well.

Legend says he was a remarkably handsome and gifted apprentice of the Buddha. To avoid unwanted attention, rumors, and worldly distractions that interfered with his spiritual practice, he transformed his physical form and covered his face to focus entirely on deep meditation.

Today, wearing Phra Pidta is believed to protect the wearer from bad luck and "villains" (backstabbers/gossipers), while bringing unexpected wealth and smooth business dealings!
